This is an informative and well produced book describing native plants endemic to Noosa Shire, but it is also relevant to the broader south-east Queensland region.

The Noosa area is home to many different plant communities. This book is divided into ten broad vegetation categories and includes about 500 of the better-known plants.

Written by Joan Heavey and Sonia MacDonald this 242 page book displays full size images of weeds and 20 of the most invasive weed grasses of the Sunshine Coast. Many are common to Cooloola, Fraser Island and South-East Qld. Methods of weed control and disposal are described.

Another brand new publication, beautifully presented, featuring full size colour images of 108 grasses of the Noosa Biosphere and surrounds.

Authored by Sonia MacDonald and Stephanie Haslam, the book contains little-known information on our grasses, with notes on landscaping, pasture management, weeds and bushland regeneration.
