Sterile lamina simple or irregularly forked at about or below the middle - not fan-shaped.Lamina mostly 1-3 times forked sometimes more rarely simple sporangia bearing segments fringed with fine hairs sporangia mixed with fine brown hairs Fertile fronds held higher than leaves.||"Fronds clustered, erect, mostly 25–35 cm high. Sterile fronds simple or irregularly divided into 2–20 segments, usually with the first dichotomy below the middle, shorter than fertile fronds, c. 1 mm wide.
