Dry land sedge. Fertile and sterile culms. Ultimate branchlets strongly coiled. **Identifying features - Caustis sp** Culms: Rounded, rigid, erect and many noded. Inflorescence: As long, or longer, than culms; panicle of spikelets, 1-2 flowers. Involucral bracts: Leaves: Reduced to brown sheathing scales.
