An abundant little sedge in damp grassy places **Identifying features - Fimbristylis sp** (fingerushes) Culms: Angular to slightly rounded Inflorescence: Terminal, solitary, one or more times compound, umbel-like. Spikelets solitary or in clusters. Involucral bracts: Leaf-like, below and sometimes exceeding inflorescence. Leaves: Narrow, basal or reduced to short-bladed sheaths.
