Suitable plant for appropriate soil conditions (see Vegetation type) ||Feature foliage||The ABC Gardening Show suggested that transplanted grasstrees would benefit from several applications of a brown sugar and water mixture to stimulate micro-organisms. The mixing rate is half a cup of brown sugar to 5 litres of water. Small plants would require a smaller quantity of mixture.
