Wattle Seed: Around Brisbane, A. fimbriata (Brisbane wattle) is one of the species that has been tried and seems to be well received. Mostly, commercial products are prepared by lightly baking the seed, then grinding it to a powder. The most popular commercial products containing wattleseed are breads, biscuits cakes, and ice cream.
Acacia species - Many wattle species have gum that exudes from their stems and trunks. The pale gums can be sucked like candy or soaked in water as jelly.
